It’s a Whisky Business is a puzzle management simulation game in the style of Papers, Please or Not for Broadcast, in which the player takes control of the energy use inside a whisky distillery, trying to assign energy as efficiently as possible while keeping on top of constant demands from management. The game was developed by Amateur Toad Studios in collaboration with Transform Net Zero for PC, with a view to creating a product that will be used at events to increase public awareness about energy use in the food and drinks industry

We are Amateur Toad Studios, an 8-person student game development team from Abertay University in Dundee, Scotland.

Transform Net Zero is a “cross-sector initiative to accelerate the transition to a net zero global economy. Our vision is to enable an inclusive net zero economy no later than 2050”. Input from Transform Net Zero has proved invaluable over the course of development in helping produce a game that is both fun and brings attention to issues surrounding energy use in food and drink production processes.
